The small river Ribeirão do Capitão passes by our rustic site, Refúgio do Capitão, after which it is named. We are located about 40 minutes from Nova Friburgo – RJ – in a quiet wooded valley.
Whether you’re a couple, a digital nomad or just coming to enjoy the peace and quiet, we have room for everyone.
We have no television, radio or newspapers on the premises and no mobile phone network in the entire valley. But we do have high-speed internet via satellite (Starlink).
At the moment, we don’t offer a restaurant service either, which means you’ll have to take care of the food supplies yourself. Of course, you can use the kitchen at any time.

We have a swimming pool, pool table, high-speed internet, parking, observation tower, barbecue facilities, jacuzzi in the captain’s suite, no TV, no radio and no newspaper in the grounds with lots of greenery and nature.
